Program for the awarding of prizes for successful initial DFG projects
What is the purpose of the program?
Through this program, the university recognizes the successful initial acquisition of an independent DFG research project. The initiative is intended to help create an incentive for early research independence, especially among young researchers, and to overcome any hesitation they may have about submitting their first proposal.
Who is eligible to apply for the award?
The program is open to all researchers at RUB who have received approval for their first DFG research grant and will conduct their project at RUB. It also recognizes funding successfully secured through the DFG’s Walter Benjamin Program at RUB."
Who decides on the proposal?
The awarding of grants is non-competitive. All researchers who have received approval for their first DFG research grant and will conduct their project at RUB receive the bonus as a one-time payment
How much is the award?
There is a one-time award of 3,000 euros.
