Teaching
Open Educational Resources (OER) are education materials that can be reproduced, distributed and reused free of charge.
Teaching and learning materials that are shared in the form of OER can be easily integrated and adapted into individual teaching concepts. It also means that lecturers can share their own materials with others in the form of OER. This enables teachers and students to get easy access to reusable teaching materials, gain an insight into university teaching and draw inspiration and impulses for their own teaching resp. studies. Most importantly, OER can play a crucial role in inter-university cooperation. Ruhr University Bochum supports and promotes the production and publication of OER. To this end, the Centre of Academic Didactics (ZfW) offers university members advice and training in the use, production and dissemination of OER.
