Students are not only the primary target group of UNIC’s activities but also play a key role in shaping and developing the consortium. That is why student participation is a core principle of UNIC.
The student representatives of all UNIC partner universities work together in the Student Board to represent the interests of students within the alliance structures and at their respective locations. Every year, two students are nominated as representatives at each university. They are available to answer questions about UNIC and to discuss suggestions and requests. RUB students who would like to get involved in UNIC can also contact the UNIC student representatives. The position of student representative is regularly advertised and filled democratically in cooperation with student self-government structures.
A position as UNIC@RUB student representative will be filled on 1 April 2026. The application deadline is 31 January 2026.
All information about the position and the application process can be found here:
UNIC Student Ambassadors are student volunteers who help promote the offers of the UNIC alliance and increase its visibility among students and teaching staff within their faculties. They also support the UNIC team and the Student Board by contributing their ideas, suggestions, and perspectives to further develop the alliance. Students from Ruhr-Universität Bochum can apply to become a UNIC Student Ambassador once per semester.
Being a Student Ambassador for UNIC@RUB is rewarding in many ways: You will receive a certificate in recognition of your commitment, gain access to UNIC trainings and events, benefit from networking opportunities with other UNIC Student Ambassadors across Europe, and gain valuable insights into university structures and developments.
