Students are not only the primary target group of UNIC’s activities but also play a key role in shaping and developing the consortium. That is why student participation is a core principle of UNIC.
The student representatives of all UNIC partner universities work together in the Student Board to represent the interests of students within the alliance structures and at their respective locations. Every year, two students are nominated as representatives at each university. They are available to answer questions about UNIC and to discuss suggestions and requests. RUB students who would like to get involved in UNIC can also contact the UNIC student representatives. The position of student representative is regularly advertised and filled democratically in cooperation with student self-government structures.
UNIC Student Ambassadors volunteer to promote UNIC and raise its visibility among students and teachers in their own faculty. They also support the UNIC team and the Student Board in further developing UNIC with their suggestions, ideas and perspectives. Students have the opportunity to apply to become Student Ambassadors once a semester.
Student Ambassadors receive a certificate for their commitment, access to UNIC trainings and events, benefit from networking with other UNIC Student Ambassadors in Europe and gain insights into the structures and developments of their university.
