Studying in Europe
RUB cooperates with nine interesting universities in nine countries as part of the European university network UNIC (The European University of Cities in Post-Industrial Transition).
RUB students can spend a semester abroad at one of the partner universities through the UNIC Exchange Programme (UEP). The exchange is based on an interdisciplinary Erasmus agreement, so it is not limited to specific subject areas. This means that students from all disciplines (with a few subject-specific exceptions) can apply for exchange spots.
Before considering applying for the UNIC Exchange Programme, please check this catalog to see whether an Erasmus exchange agreement already exists between your department and the UNIC university you are interested in. If so, please contact the Erasmus coordinator responsible for your department directly if you are interested in a stay abroad.
If no agreement exists yet, please find out whether your field of study is offered at the desired host university and read the application requirements of the individual universities listed below carefully. You should also take a closer look at the respective course catalog to check for compatibility. Please note that the semester dates of many partner universities may differ from those of RUB, so the timing of your stay must be carefully planned.
If you are accepted into the UNIC Exchange Programme, the tuition fees at the host university will be waived and you will also receive a monthly Erasmus grant. Further details on the respective Erasmus funding rates can be found on the International Office website.
