Open Research Data
Ruhr University Bochum recommends sharing research data in the public domain to an appropriate extent at the earliest possible stage.
Research data is produced in all disciplines in various formats and quantities and constitutes the basis of (almost) all research. Open Research Data is research data that can be freely used, reused and shared. This is not limited to the publication of data after the completion of a research project, but can extend to a process over the entire research data life cycle.
The Research Data Services, based at the University Library and IT.SERVICES, advise researchers on how to handle their research data, on research data management and on Open Data. They also provide infrastructure and tools for storing and publishing research data.
