The Identity Management project

The Identity Management project (IDM) lays the foundation for the digitalisation of administrative processes at RUB.

The days of paper forms and signatures are numbered. But even with electronic processes, it is important that information is only made available to authorised persons. For example, it must be possible to trace who submitted an application or granted an authorisation. Digital identity allows this, as it is unambiguously and precisely assigned to an individual. Identity management thus forms the basis of every electronic process.

Adapting data

The data stock of digital identities at RUB must now be adapted to the requirements created by digitalisation. For this purpose, information is sometimes required that was not needed in the past. This missing information is now being collected. In addition, existing data must be adjusted and corrected. As far as possible, this is done automatically. However, where this is not possible, the cooperation of the users is required.


Employee authorisations

As of 10 May 2021, users will be informed by email about the revocation of their staff account.

Update: The feedback phase for staff authorisations ended on 21 June 2021. The online form is no longer available.

If you absolutely need staff authorisations for your work at the RUB, please register via the email address provided in the announcement email.

Medical Institutions

As of April 6, 2021, members of RUB medical institutions will receive an email with their credential renewal status. If you were requested by email to use the online form, you can reach it here:
